Home...

Wow it has been a what seems like a life time ago since my last blog post. And so much has happened since then. I'll save you a few details as I catch you up, I'm rather excited about what is going on in the here and now of our lives!

The shortened version - in faith, we moved from Cut Knife to Melville with little more than half a years worth of teaching time promised to dh, who by God's wonders has a fantastic position now, I learned a great many lessons on faith and priorities through my spell as a realtor, our children have grown by leaps and bounds and I scarcely believe they are our kids (where'd those babies go?!) and wait for it, we bought the farm. Not bought the farm as in died, that would be difficult to write in such a state but bought the farm as in a chunk of land out in the country. I say THE farm because I truly believe this is the very place we were meant to make our home. We looked at many, many places, even toyed with the idea of building but none of that came together even with all of our scrambling. Imagine that.

And now, after 17 years of dreaming, hoping, wishing and praying it has all come together. We finally get to dig in the dirt growing our own food, tend to our own animals close at hand and teach our kids at home the value of what has been set before us instead of just theories in books and the stories of others.

And everyday I'm overwhelmed, overjoyed at what we've been blessed with, that same silly grin creeps across my face every time I come up the driveway. Even in our short time of being here, we feel like we're home. It's been quite a journey getting here and now it feels like really the trip is just getting started. I hope this blog will help me keep track of all the changes and allow you dear friends a peek into our home and hearts.
